About Björksätraskolan

Björksätraskolan is a grades F-9 school with nearly 700 students, where approximately 380 students are in grades 7–9. We are a proud part of the Southern Primary School Area together with Jernvallsskolan F–6 and Sätra skola F–6. The area has a common principal and seven engaged deputy principals who together lead the work forward with a focus on quality and development. Here you meet a school that is both accessible and close to nature. Good communications, forest and nature just outside the window, and several sports facilities within reach create opportunities for variation and movement.

What characterizes Björksätraskolan 7-9 is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Students, staff, and guardians describe the school as a safe place where everyone is seen. Through an active student health service, engaged employees, permanent substitutes, and dedicated student coaches, we create a stable and supportive environment where students can develop, both academically and as individuals.

Our teachers work with high expectations and genuine commitment, which yields results. The majority of our students leave school with eligibility for upper secondary school, ready to take the next step in life. Job Description: Student Coach

We are now looking for a Student Coach for a temporary position during autumn 2026. Do you want to help create tomorrow's opportunities together with us at Björksätraskolan? Please submit your application as soon as possible; we conduct interviews on a rolling basis.

Responsibilities

As a Student Coach, you have an important role in motivating, supporting, and helping the students during the school day. You are available as support in various study situations and during breaks to promote both knowledge development and social development. You are a role model and contribute to creating conditions for good attendance and safety. The role involves close collaboration with teachers and contact with guardians.

You contribute by:

• Being a support for students in teaching and during breaks
• Creating trusting relationships and promoting safety
• Motivating and inspiring students to learning and attendance
• Collaborating with teachers and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's safety work

We make each other better by:

• Sharing knowledge and experience
• Supporting each other in challenges
• Working together for the students' best interests

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, personal maturity and a professional attitude are required. As a Student Coach, you meet students in different situations, which makes it important to be secure and stable with good self-awareness, and able to distinguish between the personal and professional. Flexibility is crucial as daily life can change quickly, and seeing opportunities in new situations is a strength. The role is built on collaboration, listening, communicating, and resolving conflicts constructively.

For the assignment, the following are required:

• University education in pedagogy, behavioral science, or other equivalent education
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

Experience working with children and young people in need of special support, as well as experience from working in a school environment, is meritorious.
