The Adapted Schools in Sandviken are characterized by a strong collaborative culture where we make each other better. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the home, where the school is a support in the student's development. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student assistant, you are part of one of our work teams and work closely with teachers and other student assistants. The assignment involves contributing to a secure, structured, and stimulating learning environment based on each student's needs. The work requires flexibility, relationship-building skills, and clear, warm leadership. You work together with colleagues in a solution-oriented manner in everyday life to meet students' unique needs and sometimes challenging behaviors.

You contribute by:

• Supporting students individually and in groups based on their prerequisites
• Creating security, structure, and positive learning situations
• Using digital learning materials in daily work
• Collaborating with colleagues to plan, implement, and follow up on activities
• Contributing with a solution-focused and student-centered approach

We make each other better by:

• Collaborating closely in the work team
• Sharing knowledge and experiences to develop teaching
• Supporting each other in creating a secure and inclusive learning environment

QUALIFICATIONS

The assignment requires a person who can create security and structure while everyday life sometimes changes quickly. In meeting with the students, a calm, respectful, and curious attitude is important. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to read situations and adapt your working methods to the students' needs.

You contribute to the collaboration in the work team and are involved in finding solutions that benefit the students' development. By maintaining focus even in challenging moments and being open to new working methods, you help shape a secure and predictable learning environment.

Requirements for the assignment:

• High school diploma
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Deep interest in intellectual disability and autism

We would like you to have experience working with students with intellectual disabilities. Experience in subject areas and knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), such as sign support or picture support, is meritorious.
