About Strömsbro School

Strömsbro School is part of the Stigslund Principal Area. At Strömsbro School, we have approximately 300 students from preschool class to grade 6. Dedicated staff work at the school, and there is a strong interest among everyone in developing school activities so that students get a good foundation to stand on. At Strömsbro School, we actively work to increase student attendance. We actively work with relational leadership and students' literacy skills in all subjects. Strömsbro School is characterized by good results, well-being, and engagement. The school's ambition is for students to feel safe at school and achieve good academic results. Therefore, preventive work against harassment and bullying is carried out here. The school works to ensure students develop and respect themselves and others.

About the Position

We are now looking for an engaged and creative slöjd (crafts) teacher who wants to help create a safe, inspiring, and educational school environment for our students in grades 3-9 within the Stigslund Principal Area. You will be employed by us at Strömsbro School, and your role will also include work at several other schools within the principal area. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues and contribute to a school where students' curiosity, creativity, and desire to learn are at the center.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in wood and metal crafts, you will work with teaching at several schools within the Stigslund Principal Area. You will be responsible for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of crafts lessons. The work is performed according to decided goals and guidelines, and together with your colleagues, you shape a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching in wood and metal crafts according to the curriculum.
• Teach and guide students in practical tasks, material knowledge, tool handling, and work processes.
• Support students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and craftsmanship.
• Challenge and support students so they achieve good academic results, adapting your teaching to the needs and prerequisites of all students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teacher's degree and teacher certification with eligibility to teach in grades 3-9 and the subject of wood and metal crafts.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, such as documentation in Unikum or Office.
