Björksätraskolan – A school for everyone!

Björksätraskolan is a multicultural F-9 school in the district of Björksätra in Sandviken. You get here easily by public transport. We are close to forests and nature, which we have the opportunity to use in our teaching. There are also several sports facilities nearby that are used frequently. The school leadership consists of a principal and two deputy principals for grades F-6, and we have approximately 300 students in grades F-6. We are proud to have an inspiring collegial environment, including several lead teachers in various subject areas. This means that as an employee at Björksätraskolan, there are good future development opportunities.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a teacher in grades 4-6 with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the school's governing documents. The position also includes mentorship. The assignment involves creating an accessible learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are nurtured.

You contribute by:

• Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs
• Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Being a clear and secure role model for the students
• Actively working for an inclusive and safe school environment
• Collaborating in the work team to develop teaching

We make each other better by:

• Sharing knowledge and experiences in collegial forums
• Strengthening each other in daily work
• Having an open and solution-focused approach
• Working with the student at the center

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You are good at building trusting relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Responsiveness and teamwork are important qualities in the collegial work, where teaching is developed together. A structured work method facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changed needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students.

For the assignment, the following are required:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in grades 4-6.
• Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good IT competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
