Mariefred School, with 670 wonderful students, is a grades F-9 school located in the heart of the dynamic idyll of Mariefred. We are now looking for two engaged after-school care assistants for Mariefred School: one for a permanent position and one for a temporary assignment between 2026-08-10 and 2026-12-18.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an after-school care assistant, you work with students in grades F-6 and collaborate with teachers and after-school pedagogues to create a cohesive and developmental school day. During the school day and after-school activities, you plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on current guidelines in collaboration with the after-school team.
You work on the premise that after-school care is part of the education and connects to the school's themes and focus areas. You are responsible for the students' social development, security, and recess activities, as well as conducting fun and pedagogical activities indoors and outdoors together with the students. You build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and actively participate in the school's systematic quality work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- Several years of experience working in after-school care
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge of using computers/IT as a support in work
We consider it meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge of adapting interactions and education for students with NPD diagnoses
- Experience leading and being responsible for pedagogical work in after-school care, at both group and individual levels
- Experience actively driving the development and quality work of after-school care forward
To succeed in this role, you need to be able to take initiative and see what needs to be done without waiting for instructions. You bring new ideas and actively contribute to the development of the operations. You are flexible and adapt to the needs of the operations, supporting and helping where needed. As a person, you are self-assured and maintain calm in challenging situations to create a secure environment for both students and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and build strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Creating and nurturing relationships is a natural part of your work, and you see the value in building a positive and inclusive environment.
