Do you want to help create a safe, meaningful, and developmental leisure time for children in a small and family-oriented activity? Tussilagon After-School Center in Vadstena is now looking for an engaged teacher in after-school care / after-school pedagogue who wants to contribute pedagogical competence, warmth, and creativity to the children's daily lives.

Tussilagon is an independent after-school center located in central Vadstena. The activity is run as a non-profit association where the board consists largely of parents, providing a close and personal environment with short decision-making paths and a high level of commitment to the children's well-being. Here, you become an important part of a smaller operation where relationships, security, and participation are at the center.

About the role

As a teacher in after-school care with us, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for planning, implementing, following up, and developing the pedagogical activities. You work based on the goals of the curriculum and contribute to creating an stimulating after-school activity where children's curiosity, creativity, social development, and learning are valued.

The assignment includes:

• planning and leading pedagogical activities based on the children's needs, interests, and curriculum goals
• following up, evaluating, and documenting the activity at both group and individual levels
• creating a calm, safe, and positive environment where every child feels seen and important
• working relationally with children, guardians, and colleagues
• contributing to the development of the activity through ideas, structure, and pedagogical responsibility
• being a clear and present adult who leads, motivates, and engages the children

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school care, or alternatively, an educated after-school pedagogue. You are confident in your pedagogical role and have an easy time building good relationships with both children and adults.

You are a person who:

• has a warm and clear leadership style
• contributes to work peace, security, and a positive atmosphere
• enjoys collaborating and taking shared responsibility
• is innovative and happy to share ideas and working methods
• can listen, support, and meet children based on their different needs
• wants to help develop a meaningful, inclusive, and stimulating after-school activity

Scope: 75% Employment type: Permanent position with an initial 6-month probationary period Start date and salary: According to agreement
