About Elmeskolan

Elmeskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 180 students starting from the autumn term of 2026. We collaborate and share premises with the International School of Älmhult, located near the Hagabo residential area. We have three work teams at the school: the after-school care center, grades F-3, and grades 4-6. We have organized a study center at the school for students who need close support and a calm environment.

Elmeskolan focuses on collegial development work through lead teachers who lead the work teams every week in language-developing approaches across all subjects. The social learning environment has also been a focus area, along with collegial observations. The development work of the after-school care center is linked with the rest of the school.

The Position

The position is subject to necessary decisions being made. There is 1 vacancy.

Responsibilities

As a primary school teacher for the after-school care center, you are an important part of the school day. Depending on your subject competence, the assignment is not yet fully defined. At the after-school care center, you are part of the care team and take responsibility for planning and developing the center in line with its goals.

Qualifications

• You have a degree and certification as a primary school teacher for after-school care. Experience is an advantage.
• You can express yourself correctly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• You have a holistic approach to work and are flexible in adapting your days to make them as good as possible for our students.
• You easily establish new contacts with both students and staff and can adapt your work to the needs of different people and situations.
• You can work both independently and in teams, have good self-confidence, and show a lack of pretension.

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
