Falkenberg Culture School also has the task of running the Cultural Guarantee in schools in close collaboration with the culture department and external actors. The purpose is to give all children and young people, from preschool to upper secondary school, the opportunity each school year to experience high-quality cultural encounters and creative activities.

Job Responsibilities

With us, you will have the opportunity to teach brass instruments to individual students, small groups, as well as ensembles and orchestras. You meet children and young people with different backgrounds and levels, giving each student the opportunity to develop at their own pace. You welcome the child's perspective and see the participation of children and young people as a foundation for a lifelong engagement in culture, while also valuing close contact with guardians.

Together with colleagues, you plan and carry out projects, concerts, and performances that create meaning, community, and pride for our students.

Your teaching is mainly located in central Falkenberg, but also takes place at schools around the municipality.

Working hours vary between daytime and evening hours and also include concerts, performances, and camps, sometimes on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a relevant music pedagogical education with a focus on brass instruments, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.

You have experience working with children and young people of different ages and with different prerequisites, preferably within a culture school or similar activity. You thrive in the meeting with students and see the strength in adapting teaching to each individual's needs and drive.

You have a genuine commitment to the development of children and young people and meet every student with sensitivity, curiosity, and respect. You want to create participation, awaken the desire to learn, and contribute to development both for the individual and in the group.

The Culture School is part of the Culture Department within the Culture, Leisure, and Technology Administration. The administration is the municipality's third largest, with approximately 180 employees in a broad area of operations that includes culture school, library, museum and public art, property and projects, street and traffic, harbor, park and coast, facilities and baths, open youth activities, association support, as well as consumer and budget counseling.
