The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschools, primary schools, and child/student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Ankarskolan and Spannarps skola share a common catchment area in the southwestern part of Varberg Municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As a teacher at the after-school center, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment for the students, where we create the best possible conditions for learning. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership style where the quality of teaching is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

You will work within a substitute pool for grades F-9, either as a substitute class teacher or as a substitute at the after-school center. The primary workplace is Ankarskolan, but you may also be required to work at Spannarps skola. You may teach students in grades F-9 in both theoretical and practical subjects, as well as at the after-school center. You may be responsible for planning activities, both individually and in collaboration with others.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Design teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience.
• Take responsibility for clear leadership that promotes student learning, participation, and influence.
• Plan and follow up on after-school center activities based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to the students' needs.
• Meet each student at their level of knowledge progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a red thread in students' learning throughout the school day.
• Take responsibility for being a good role model and contributing to an organization for planning and evaluating teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a teacher at our schools, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounds with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in after-school centers.
• A holistic view of learning and teaching, seeing the opportunities in supporting students' development throughout the entire school day.
• Good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback.
• Clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas in an overviewable manner.
• Good didactic skills to translate the purpose of the curriculum into practical operations.
• Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months.

The position involves varying working hours based on needs and may involve working five days a week. Our operations are open Monday to Friday between 06:15 and 18:30. Your employment type may be Appendix D, with a probationary period of 45 minutes.
