The Municipal Executive Office includes operations for finance, HR, communication, administration, growth, and development. The Finance Unit provides support to operations and the organization's managers regarding budgeting, ongoing reporting, follow-up, annual reports, investigations, and more.
Do you want to work close to operations and contribute to good financial management in a municipality where collaboration and development are in focus? We are now looking for an economist for a business-integrated assignment.

Responsibilities
As an economist with us, you provide support to both the Service Sector and the Environment and Community Building Sector. Within the Service Sector, the assignment includes units such as property, catering, as well as culture and leisure. Furthermore, it involves preparing and monitoring the municipality's investment budget and infrastructure reporting. You work close to operations with a focus on budgeting, follow-up, and forecasting.
Examples of tasks:
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Ongoing follow-up, forecasting, and analysis
- Support to managers in financial matters
- Preparation of decision-making materials and reports
- Participation in development work within financial management
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an interest in financial management and thrive in a role where analysis and operational support are central.
Requirements:
- Degree in Economics from university/college or other relevant academic education
- Experience working with budgeting, follow-up, and forecasting
- Very good knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of the rest of the Office package
- Good analytical skills and experience working with numbers
Meritorious:
- Experience from the public sector
- Experience in business-integrated financial work
- Experience working in financial systems including infrastructure registers
- Experience in monitoring investment projects
