We at Vindex are currently recruiting on behalf of SMC AB for an Accounting Manager who wants to become an important part of the company's continued development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to own the financial process from start to finish while contributing structure, order, and digitalization to the operations.

About the role
As Accounting Manager at SMC AB, you will have a central and business-close role with responsibility for the company's finance function. You will work independently with the ongoing economy while becoming a key driver in creating structure, streamlining routines, and further developing processes.
This is a broad role where you participate in and drive both strategic improvement initiatives and operational tasks. You will work in an organization where collaboration, flexibility, and lack of hierarchy are important success factors. The role offers a wide variety of tasks where you are responsible for everything from qualified accounting issues to ongoing administrative tasks that contribute to the daily functioning of the business.
Main responsibilities
- Responsible for ongoing accounting
- Handle customer and supplier ledgers
- Matching delivery notes against inventory, with a good understanding of inventory
- Invoicing and payments
- Monthly reconciliations and year-end closing
- Payroll administration (Visma Lön)
- Responsible for VAT reporting, import VAT, and Intrastat
- Act as contact person for auditors and external partners
- Participate in and drive improvement and digitalization projects
- Structure and develop financial routines and processes
- Support the business with administrative matters
- Participate in ad hoc tasks related to finance and general administration
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in accounting in smaller companies
- Experience independently managing the entire accounting flow, including ongoing accounting, reconciliations, VAT, tax, payroll, and year-end closing
- Good understanding of inventory management and inventory-related financial flows, including matching delivery notes
- Experience building structure in manual environments
Meritorious if you have:
- Experience with Visma Administration 2000
- Worked in smaller or entrepreneurial companies
- Experience in digitalizing and streamlining financial processes
- Experience in personnel administration and HR-related matters
