About the Department
The Intensive and Perioperative Care Area (VO IPV) at Skåne University Hospital offers anesthesia, surgical care, intensive care, and postoperative care in Lund. Within our area, we also operate pain treatment services and are responsible for Lund's sterile technology operations. On our unit, we perform gynecological and obstetric surgeries, both elective and emergency, and provide 24/7 emergency services. We are the center for gynecological tumor surgery in the Southern Healthcare Region and utilize robotic surgery to some extent.

Responsibilities
Together with your five fellow unit managers, you are responsible for the operations as a whole. Through shared leadership, we focus on leading care and nursing to achieve a good work environment and high quality.
You view the operations from a holistic perspective, planning and organizing while monitoring decisions and results. Furthermore, you work close to the operations, leading and supporting improvement and development work. As a Unit Manager at IPV, you represent the department both internally and in dialogue with our partners, such as operators and managers in other departments.
As a manager leading employees, you steer your operations in the expected direction towards the department's goals. The engagement of your employees is crucial for success in your assignment, and you value coaching, giving feedback, evaluating performance, promoting collaboration, and creating a good work climate. Together with your employees, you develop the operations through efficient working methods with high quality, continuously monitoring for learning and further development. You have employer and management responsibility covering employees, operations, and economy.
Your direct superior will be the Area Manager, and you will be part of the Operations Management Group, the Close Management Group, and the Operating Council.

Qualifications and Merits
We are looking for you who have a university degree in healthcare or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Good language skills in Swedish are required in both speech and writing. We would appreciate if you have previous experience working in a leadership position and an understanding of the professions that make up the team around the patient.
It is an advantage if you are specially trained in surgery, as well as if you have education in leadership and/or work environment. Managerial experience from a surgical unit is also considered an advantage for the position.
