The mission of the Education and Labour Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find employment and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and work.

The Adult Education program offers courses and training in various ways based on individual needs. Adult Education includes, among other things, upper secondary adult education, education in Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), special education for adults, vocational training, university college vocational programs, and learning center activities.

We are now looking for an SFI Teacher who has a great commitment to teaching and is passionate about helping adult students reach their goals. Here, you will work in an environment characterized by job satisfaction, collaboration, and a strong desire to support our students on their educational journey.

We have a need to recruit teachers for both evening and daytime teaching.

This includes a teaching position for evening classes, which is a fixed-term part-time employment. In addition, there is a need for teachers for daytime teaching, both in the form of fixed-term part-time employment and full-time.

Your Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities consist of planning and conducting teaching. You are also responsible for assessment and grading according to current regulatory documents, as well as monitoring students' development. The work also includes holding individual student meetings, where you provide support and guidance for their continued learning.

You will be part of a work team where you are expected to collaborate with other teachers and actively participate in the planning and development of the operations. Your contribution to development work is an important part of ensuring that teaching is adapted to the students' needs and conditions.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are certified to teach in SFI (Swedish for Immigrants). If you have experience teaching adults, it is an advantage. You are an engaged person who sees students' potential and development opportunities. You have a creative, responsive, and structured work style, and are skilled at adapting your teaching to each student's individual needs. Furthermore, you are clear in your communication and have a good ability to create a positive learning environment.

You have a solution-focused attitude and good collaboration skills, which are crucial for success in collaboration with both colleagues and students. If you are offered employment within upper secondary and adapted upper secondary schools at the Education and Labour Market Administration, you will need to present an extract from the Police Register of Offenses for work in schools or preschools. The extract is free to order but may take up to 2–3 weeks for the Police to process. We therefore recommend that you order the extract well in advance.

Before employment, you need to show that you have the right to work, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance. You do this by proving your citizenship within the EU/EEA or Switzerland with a passport, national ID card, or certificate of personal status together with an identity document. If you cannot do this, you need to present a work permit or show that you are exempt from the requirement for a work permit.

The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.

In the recruitment process, we may use work psychological tests as part of the selection work.
