Job Description
We are now looking for a resource teacher to Grade 6 at Vimarskolan.
As a resource teacher, you provide support to individual students and groups in the school. The work involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work at the workplace together with educators and other staff. Your task is to create good conditions for the student's development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. You create the best opportunities for students, parents, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure. Increased independence for the individual and a reduced need for help are the goals of the resource teacher's assignment. The position also includes work at the school's after-school center. The assignment involves physically demanding efforts from time to time.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- are accustomed to working in a low-affective manner
- have experience working with children and young people with special needs and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
- previous experience working as a student assistant is considered an advantage
- have experience of similar work within the school
We consider it an advantage if you are trained as a student assistant or childcare worker with experience in similar work.
As a person, we see that you are calm and stable in your approach, and that you are sensitive to individuals' different needs and conditions and can adapt accordingly. A positive attitude, good cooperation skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to learn are important qualities for the position. You see opportunities and can adapt to changes in the operations. Furthermore, we see that you are structured and responsible, and that you master the Swedish language and express yourself well both orally and in writing. We place great importance on personal suitability. The assignment involves physically demanding efforts from time to time. Swimming ability is a requirement. Experience in supporting students with diabetes is an advantage.
The position is subject to register checks. You as an applicant must produce an extract from the police's criminal record register before employment takes place.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
