About the Learning and Culture Administration

The schools in Nybro Municipality aim to provide every child and student with the best conditions for success. In Nybro Municipality, children, students, and guardians meet well-educated and dedicated educators, teachers, principals, and staff who all strive to create a safe school environment with a focus on educational quality.

The culture unit aims to provide residents with good access to culture and strengthen cultural associations so they can offer a wide range of cultural activities. The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, preschool classes, comprehensive schools, adapted comprehensive schools, after-school care, upper secondary schools, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and special education for adults.

Within the administration, there is training in glass craftsmanship through the National Glass School in Pukeberg, as well as commissioned training and higher vocational education. The Learning and Culture Administration is also responsible for libraries, music and arts schools, a cultural center with a cinema, youth clubs, and general cultural matters. The administration has over 850 employees and an annual budget of approximately 580 million SEK. It is organized into business areas led by a business manager for each preschool, comprehensive school, upper secondary school, adult education, and the culture unit. The Position

This autumn, we are expanding our organization as our new school, Västerängsskolan, grows in the number of students and staff. We are now looking for a music teacher who also has experience teaching other subjects, primarily at the lower primary level.

Responsibilities

• You will teach music from grades 1–6 with overall responsibility for planning, implementation, and follow-up.
• You need to have good communication with class teachers and guardians to share responsibility for our students and operational development.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher in music.
• Additional subject qualifications or experience in teaching other subjects, primarily at the lower primary level, are meritorious.
