Job Responsibilities
The Adult Department serves individuals with harmful substance use/addiction as well as those with mental disabilities.
The work involves irregular working hours and is carried out during the day, evening, and night, Monday to Sunday. It includes social documentation and delegated health care tasks.
The schedule varies between units; some units do not implement night shifts.
The tasks within our housing facilities and housing support differ. Read more below about what the work entails in the different operations.
Please state your preference for placement in your application, although we cannot guarantee this in a recruitment process.
Specialized Housing within Social Psychiatry
Specialized housing within social psychiatry is aimed at adults with long-term mental disabilities who have a great need for support in their daily lives. We focus on the equal value of every person and look at the individual's abilities while respecting everyone's privacy and self-determination.
Our housing facilities look different depending on the location and premises, but in all housing, residents have their own apartments with access to common areas for socializing. We believe that animals make a big difference for everyone. Pets can therefore be present in some housing facilities as part of the milieu-therapeutic work to strengthen the user's well-being and happiness.
The job responsibilities include having a supportive, stimulating, and motivating approach to support the user with what they need help with in their daily life. This may include, among other things, nursing care and help with showering/personal hygiene. You will participate in the planning and execution of qualified and individually designed support with the user's perspective and needs in focus. You will also perform certain delegated health care tasks assigned by nurses.
The interventions we perform must maintain good quality based on the user's own choices and priorities. We want to make it possible for the user to have a good daily life and be able to live a life like others.
Specialized Housing / Category Housing within Harmful Use and Addiction
The operation offers secure housing with the goal of achieving improved quality of life by reducing the consequences of addiction/substance use. The support is individually adapted to contribute to the individual having a functioning daily life. The operation collaborates with a number of different internal and external actors.
The job responsibilities consist of providing individually adapted support ranging from cleaning, hygiene, cooking, support with structure in daily life, conversations, and nursing care.
The work is individual-focused and involves implementation plans that you are responsible for following. The work at the housing facility requires employees' ability to create good relationships with those living there and provide individualized support. It presupposes a good readiness to handle difficult and complex situations while maintaining a strong belief in people's ability to change and develop.
Housing Support Unit
We work relationally, motivationally, and supportively with the target group in social psychiatry as well as harmful use and addiction.
Housing support is adapted based on the individual's situation and needs. The individual is actively involved in their planning, which results in an implementation plan.
You work to support the user/client to maintain their abilities and therefore work together with and not compensating for the person primarily.
Housing support is primarily performed in the home but can also be provided outside the home. The starting point for the support is the user/client's needs, so participation in planning and the design of the intervention are central.
Job responsibilities may include contact with authorities, structure in daily life, breaking isolation, and motivational work. You will also perform certain delegated health care tasks assigned by nurses.
The goal of the operation is to create an improved life situation that leads to as independent a life as possible based on the individual's own prerequisites.
Qualifications
We prefer that you have a high school education, for example, the nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, treatment pedagogue/assistant, or that you are studying to become a social worker, psychologist, or another profession within the social sector. Experience with documentation and working within the social sector is considered an advantage.
You will work with people in vulnerable life situations, which requires that you have personal suitability regarding meeting, responding to, and communicating with others. We are looking for someone who can independently plan and structure their work.
You are a calm, secure, and caring person who can meet varied situations from an adapted approach.
A Category B driver's license is a requirement within the Housing Support Unit and an advantage within the housing operations.
