About Us

Sunne Gymnasieskola Broby aims to be the natural choice for upper secondary students within Sunne Municipality and to attract students from all over Sweden. We offer the best conditions for successful studies through modern and insightful pedagogy in a warm, inspiring, and secure environment. We offer vocational programs in industrial technology and graphic production, as well as university-preparatory programs in natural sciences and social sciences. We also offer introduction programs and municipal activity responsibility. The same principal area also includes Adult Education and Swedish for Immigrants (SFI).

Your Role as School Counselor

You will be part of the SG/Broby student health team and contribute with psychosocial competence from a salutogenic perspective. Your tasks include consultations, preventive and health-promoting work, as well as acute interventions for both individuals and groups. You are responsible for absence investigations in close collaboration with other members of the student health team and mentors. You will also assist in work related to KAA (Municipal Activity Responsibility).

Seeing the student in their context means understanding how the student is doing in their leisure time, at home, and in education. As a school counselor, you are part of Sunne's counselor professional group, where regular meetings and supervision are provided. You will work at both the individual level and the group level in the classroom, supervise teachers, and collaborate with guardians.

Your Qualifications

You have a degree in social work (sociologist) with a suitable specialization and preferably experience working as a school counselor. You are experienced in documentation, and knowledge of the school's journal system Prorenata is an advantage. Understanding the school's mission and the ability to work from a health-promoting and preventive perspective that supports students towards the school's goals is essential.

Conditions
