RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in a team where you make a real difference in people's daily lives? We are now looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant for Hammarö Municipality for a fixed-term assignment of 8 months.

As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will be part of a work team consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and assistive technology technicians. The position covers both ordinary housing and Supported Living for People with Intellectual Disabilities (SÄBO) within the municipality.

In the role of Rehabilitation Assistant, you will among other things:

• Carry out rehabilitation measures
• Support users in training and daily activities
• Implement and instruct on training programs according to prescriptions
• Handle and install assistive devices and provide support regarding their use
• Document and follow up on measures
• Collaborate with licensed personnel and care staff
• Contribute to the development of working methods and routines

Start date: As soon as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience working as a rehabilitation assistant and are educated in the field. Alternatively, you have an education as a nursing assistant or healthcare assistant. The position requires a B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are a responsible and flexible person who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. You have good teamwork skills and a professional attitude in your contacts with both colleagues and patients. Furthermore, you are structured and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work effectively. We also look for a genuine interest in rehabilitation and working with people.

It is meritorious if you have experience working within municipal healthcare, as well as knowledge or experience of assistive devices, training measures, and patient transfer training. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

In accordance with the law on register checks when working in the homes of the elderly and adults with disabilities, the person offered employment must present extracts from the criminal record and suspicion register from the Police Authority. The extracts are requested only after a job offer has been made.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
