Workplace Description

Slättgårdsskolan is a comprehensive school for grades F–9 with approximately 530 students. By autumn 2026, we will be moving into a completely new main building.

We have dedicated and ambitious staff who contribute to developing our operations, which is reflected in our good academic results.

At Slättgårdsskolan, we focus on printed learning materials for in-depth learning. We also develop learning in digital environments where all our students have their own digital device.

Job Description

We are looking for you who are an engaged and goal-oriented teacher in Mathematics/Science (MA/NO) and Technology for teaching in grades 7–9. There is also an opportunity for a Senior Teacher position. You are a clear and confident leader in the classroom who understands the importance of building relationships with your students. You have high expectations for the students and involve them in the planning, while developing their ability to learn both independently and collaboratively.

Your teaching is differentiated to meet the needs of both students with difficulties and those who need challenges. You take responsibility for and have insight into student results to create an stimulating learning environment. You thrive in a changing environment where you contribute to the school's development and well-being. Mentorship is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher for grades 7–9 and qualified in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and technology.
• Are a clear leader with the ability to adapt teaching and build good relationships with students.
• Have a formative approach to work and clarity in assessment relative to the curriculum's knowledge requirements.
• Have a solution-oriented attitude in contact with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• See the school as a whole where we all have a shared responsibility for the students' development.
• Understand the importance of and have the ability to develop functional routines and classroom structures.
• Have good IT skills that you also use in your teaching.
