The role of violin teacher with us

In this role, you contribute to a culture where we take responsibility, inspire, collaborate, and support each other. In your daily work, you collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues at the Cultural School. The work is primarily carried out during children's and young people's free time, i.e., afternoons and evenings.

Your profile

You see play as a natural part of the pedagogical work. You have the ability to reflect on your own contribution and possess creative courage. You work actively to build and develop the Cultural School's activities together with colleagues. As a person, you work well with others and are accommodating and responsive in your interactions. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current working relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward towards goals, deliver results, and prioritize your work efficiently.

You adapt to changed circumstances and see opportunities in change. You take initiative and often come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An artistic and pedagogical post-secondary education.
  • The competence to teach violin students both individually and in groups.
  • Experience conducting orchestras.
  • Experience teaching at different levels and with children of various ages.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • A degree from a University College of Music.
  • A B-class driver's license.

The Cultural School in Kungsbacka is a voluntary and fee-based activity, open to all children and young people aged 5–20 in Kungsbacka Municipality. We offer children and young people the opportunity to experience creativity in the form of music, dance, art, film, and theater. There are currently just over 2,000 participating students and 60 employees in the activity. The Cultural School's vision is that we attract and offer a place for all children and young people. Our offer and other information

We offer a fixed-term part-time position (25%) starting August 10, 2026, or as agreed. The employment period extends to December 31, 2026.
