Anna Whitlock's Gymnasium is the city's largest upper secondary school with approximately 2,200 students. Our premises are located at Hantverkargatan 29, near the City Hall. The school started in August 2018 and offers university-preparatory programs ES, EK, NA, SA, and TE, with eleven different specializations/profiles, three of which – Design, Life Science, and Global Development – are available across several programs.

Job Description

In the role of Study and Career Counselor, you will work with both individual counseling and information sessions in classes and larger groups. The assignment also includes administrative work with individual study plans, course selections, and reserve admissions.

You collaborate with the school's other study counselors and school management regarding marketing efforts in the form of planning and participation in high school fairs and Open House events.

The work involves close collaboration between study and career counselors, the principal/school management, administration, teachers, and other staff. You are part of the school's student health team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in study and career counseling with good experience working within upper secondary education.

As a person, you are stable, resilient, have high integrity, and personal maturity.

You should express yourself well in speech and writing and have good collaborative and organizational skills.

Furthermore, you are accustomed to working independently, planning, and prioritizing your work in a structured manner.

Since the work is based on teamwork, it is important that you are good at collaborating and enjoy working in teams.
