Storvikens School in Brunflo is located approximately 1.5 miles outside of Östersund, in a pleasant setting with sports facilities, a swimming pool, and beautiful forest areas within walking distance. The school currently has approximately 107 students in age-homogeneous classes in grades Pre-K to 3.

Responsibilities

You will teach in the classroom and participate in the school's development work and other school-wide tasks. During the academic year 2026/2027, you will serve as a class teacher alongside one other class teacher and two leisure-time educators from the after-school center.

Both the school and the after-school center are active in the values-based concept PAX, which aims to create safety, joy, and a conducive learning environment. We are constantly working to develop learning for students and staff through a structured systematic quality work with the students' goals and results at the center. This is built upon collegial learning adapted to the teachers' development needs.

Great emphasis is placed on developing students' social skills so that they can take responsibility for themselves and others.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher. We see that you have good collaboration skills, a willingness to develop, and that you are a calm and stable person who puts students first. You are sensitive to the fact that many children need support in social interaction and that we adults have a clear role in providing support in this work.
