Job Description

Do you want to help develop an exciting preschool with many opportunities alongside dedicated colleagues? Our team consists of preschool teachers, childcare assistants, IT pedagogues, special needs pedagogues, counselors, pedagogical development workers, as well as the principal and deputy principal.

Are you curious about the role a preschool plays in new city districts in a growing city? Then this is the right place for you!

Your duties here involve organizing and leading the pedagogical work forward with a systematic approach to quality through pedagogical documentation. You will also implement a project-based working method as a foundation for learning and exploration together with the children and colleagues.

You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for creating creative and challenging environments throughout the preschool, and for ensuring that education and teaching enable exploration and learning throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors. As a preschool teacher, your role also includes collaborating with the entire work team to create good conditions for learning and development for all our children.

You should also motivate and lead your colleagues to work towards our goals, share your knowledge, and create a climate of engagement and participation at the preschool.

You will work independently and together with colleagues to develop the preschool based on the intentions and goals of the curriculum. It is of utmost importance that you help create a good culture and work environment at the preschool. You should contribute warmth and care that children, parents, colleagues, and visitors can feel.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a preschool teacher degree and a license with the eligibility to teach in preschool. You are professional in your role, and we would appreciate experience in teaching in a preschool setting.

As a preschool teacher, you are positive, have a positive view of children, and see children as competent. Your task is to stimulate children to explore and be curious about their surroundings together with others, individually, or together with you as a co-researcher.

We would appreciate experience or interest in Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches, as well as work with PECS/TAKK (Picture Exchange Communication System / Signs as Support for Communication) and language-developing methods. You are engaged, motivated, and responsible in the role of a preschool teacher.

You have an aptitude for collaboration and communication, and see it as a strength to be part of a team where members complement each other's strengths. You have experience or interest in pedagogical documentation.

No prior experience is required, but we value enthusiasm and commitment to working with the child's best interest as the focus.
