The mission of the Education and Labour Market Administration is to increase individuals' prospects of finding employment and becoming self-sufficient through education, internships, and work.

Sturegymnasiet is the creative school. Our education contributes to creating a reality that is both dynamic and experience-rich during the school years. At our school, students learn through both theoretical studies and creative, practical application.

We are now looking for two vocational teachers in care and nursing at Sturegymnasiet in Halmstad.

• One of the positions is for the Health, Care, and Nursing program within the adapted upper secondary school (HO).
• The other position is for the apprenticeship education within the Health, Care, and Nursing program (GL).

We need to train more young people so that we can all receive the care and support we need.

Your responsibilities

The care and nursing education has been conducted with high quality for many years. We are now working to develop more flexible forms of education and study. We strive to continuously develop the nursing education in close collaboration with operations within care and nursing, both in municipal and private sectors.

As a vocational teacher with us, mentoring is included. The work also involves working in neighboring municipalities regarding internship acquisition and visits. An important part of the job is to meet each individual student in the care and nursing workplace and to be able to adapt working methods and interactions during the students' internships.

Within the adapted upper secondary school and apprenticeship education, we actively work to guide our students into working life after completing their studies, which means that as a vocational teacher, you need to be able to collaborate with municipalities, authorities, and private actors.

• On the 3-year apprenticeship education (GL), learning is moved from the traditional classroom directly to the workplace, which requires innovative thinking and the ability to highlight students' skills in a professional context.
• Within the 4-year adapted upper secondary school, the individual has the opportunity to become an apprentice later during the education.

At Sturegymnasiet, you will be part of a work team that includes teachers in general upper secondary subjects. We also work with participation and utilize employees' competence and development opportunities.

Your qualifications

For the positions, you are required to have:

• A vocational teacher degree in care and nursing
• Extensive experience within care and nursing
• Legitimized teacher and registered nurse
• Category B driver's license

It is particularly meritorious if you:

• Have a strong interest in working with the target group of students with intellectual disabilities
• Have experience with validation and apprenticeship education

For the position within the adapted upper secondary school, experience of working within this school form and in-depth knowledge of special pedagogy is desirable. Experience of working in preschool is also meritorious for this position.

You do this by proving your citizenship in the EU/EEA or Switzerland through a passport, national ID card, or certificate of personal data together with an identity document.
