The role of teacher with us

The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the students' varying needs, in close collaboration with colleagues and the student health service. The role implies active participation in collegial learning, where the joint development of teaching and student safety is a central part.

The work includes creating accessible learning environments and meeting students with different prerequisites. An important part of the assignment is the relationship-building work and integrating the school's value base, norms, and values into teaching and daily interactions with students.

You help create a culture characterized by cooperation, care, and development. By inspiring, motivating, and showing personal care in everyday life, you contribute to strengthening both relationships and job satisfaction. This provides good conditions for both you and your colleagues to develop and reach your full potential. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is highly valued.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher for grades 4–9 with qualifications in crafts (slöjd)

Åsa Schools 4–9 work closely together between the lower secondary and upper secondary levels, focusing on our approximately 600 students. Our operations are based on the values of responsibility, future, learning, care, and respect. These permeate teaching and our joint activities, contributing to a positive school climate.

We work together and long-term for safety and well-being, among other things through regular meetings in work teams, student health teams, and safety teams. We also develop our competence with a focus on the quality of teaching, interaction, and relationship-building work.

We meet the students with clear, warm, and supportive leadership. We show interest in their daily lives, acknowledge positive behaviors, and set clear boundaries when necessary. Students should feel seen and know that there is always an adult to turn to.

We also have a highly regarded and well-functioning after-school center (fritidshem) for grades 4–6. The school and the after-school center collaborate closely, giving students a good and coherent day with all-day learning.

Our offer and other information

We offer a permanent position (holiday service) part-time/full-time (80–100%) starting August 10th, subject to agreement.
