Vicariance Coordinator with Teacher Certification for Vimmerby Municipality

The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all pedagogical activities, from preschool to university, and is also responsible for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and societal orientation for newly arrived residents. Our common goal is that Vimmerby Municipality's children and young people should get the best conditions to meet the future and develop into creative, curious, and secure individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for a Vicariance Coordinator for a 1-position role. As a Vicariance Coordinator with us, you have a central role in creating a safe and stable everyday life for both students and colleagues.

You have a central role in operational collaboration where you coordinate and fill substitute teacher needs to ensure that teaching takes place according to plan. During the school day, you work close to the operations by stepping in as a substitute teacher in different grades and subjects. In the pedagogical work, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with colleagues so that every student is given the best conditions to succeed.

In addition to the direct work in the classroom, you are responsible for long-term resource planning. This means that you plan upcoming substitutes, as well as recruit, select, and introduce new substitute teachers to our school. The position also includes some responsibility for handling students' digital devices, which is why we are looking for you with good ICT skills. You function as an important link between students, parents, and staff, and we see that you are a person driven by creating good relationships and a safe working environment for everyone.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply have a teacher certification with the right to teach math, Swedish, and English in primary school. The assignment occasionally includes accompanying students to swimming lessons, so swimming ability is also a requirement. You are well-versed in the school's curriculum and we would like you to have experience of teaching.

We are looking for you who want to be part of continuing to develop our school. You have good collaboration skills and plan, implement, and evaluate operations together with your colleagues. Reflection on learning is a matter of course for you, and you are happy to share with others in collegial learning. You are flexible and have good pedagogical insight. Furthermore, you are structured and have clear leadership in the classroom. Experience of teaching students in adapted primary school is meritorious.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
