The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Göthrik School is located between Grimeton and Hunnestad, a little over a mile east of Varberg, in a rural environment with nature close at hand. The school accommodates 175 students in grades F-6. The school offers a varied outdoor environment that enables play and movement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As a teacher in the leisure center (fritidshem) with us, you have a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment for the students, where we create the best possible meeting point for learning. Together with your colleagues, you form a relational leadership style where the quality of teaching is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

Examples of tasks:

• Shape teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience.
• Be responsible for clear leadership that promotes students' learning, participation, and influence.
• Plan and follow up on teaching in the leisure center based on your choice of pedagogical and didactic strategies, adapted to the students' needs.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing accessible learning environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a red thread in students' learning throughout the school day.
• Take responsibility for being a good role model and contribute to an organization for planning and evaluating teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a teacher in the leisure center, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounds with an exploratory approach. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To succeed in the assignment, you have:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in the leisure center.
• A holistic view of learning and teaching where you see the possibilities in supporting students' development throughout the school day.
• Good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas in an overviewable way.
• Good didactic skills to translate the purpose of the curriculum into practical operations.
• Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
