At Ekängsskolan in Lenhovda, our adapted primary school, you will meet students from grades 1 to 9 in a safe, stimulating, and individually adapted learning environment. Work here is characterized by close relationships, a supportive and engaged collegium, and a strong sense of community. RESPONSIBILITIES

You plan and conduct teaching for students in adapted primary school, with a focus on both knowledge development and the students' independence. The assignment includes teaching in textile crafts, wood and metal crafts, art, and physical education. You work closely with colleagues, student health services, and guardians, and actively participate in the school's development work.

You will work together with students in grades 1 to 9 who all follow the curriculum for adapted primary school. Teaching takes place in student groups with approximately 3 to 20 students, and you work together with student support staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are qualified as a special educator with a focus on intellectual disability and are qualified to teach in textile, wood, and metal crafts, art, and physical education in the adapted primary school.

Being positive, engaged, and flexible, as well as having the ability to think innovatively, are qualities we value highly.

We believe you are a person who is curious about students' different ways of thinking, learning, and understanding, and who sees their individual needs as a challenge. We are looking for you who are equipped with good social competence and teamwork skills. You see everyone's differences as an asset and are curious and creative to create opportunities for learning and development for each individual student. You make conscious choices to increase students' motivation and work with clarifying pedagogy. You are positive and creative, seeing opportunities before obstacles. We would like you to have experience working with children in need of special support and that you are sensitive to each individual's specific prerequisites.

As a person, you need to be secure in yourself and have a good ability to build relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians.
