Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature- and mountain-rich environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is located in Järpen, the main town of Åre Municipality. Our school has students from all over Sweden and the rest of the world, creating a wonderful mix of people and cultures. Åre Municipality also offers fantastic opportunities for an active outdoor life for those who enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, or cycling.

Your future responsibilities

You will teach Social Studies and History in our national programs. The position may also include mentorship duties. You will be part of the working group for university-preparatory programs at Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre. This is a permanent full-time position starting in autumn 2026.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who, like us, has a strong commitment and a desire to develop together with both colleagues and students. You are a certified upper secondary school teacher with a good understanding of how learning takes place. It is important to us that you have good collaboration skills with our students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership. You are familiar with and comfortable with the documentation and assessment expected in the teaching profession, and you use IT as a natural tool in your work.
