Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in natural and mountainous environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre is located in Järpen, the main town of Åre Municipality. Our school has students from all over Sweden and the rest of the world, creating a wonderful mix of people and cultures. Description

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications in Social Studies and Mathematics. The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment starting on 2026-08-12.

Responsibilities

You will teach Social Studies in our national programs and Mathematics in the IM program. The role also includes mentorship duties. You will be part of the working team for university-preparatory programs at Jämtlands Gymnasium Åre. This is a permanent full-time position starting in the autumn of 2026.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who, like us, has a strong commitment and a desire to develop together with both colleagues and students. You are a certified upper secondary school teacher with a good understanding of how learning takes place. It is important to us that you have good collaboration skills with our students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership. You are familiar with and comfortable with the documentation and assessment expected in the teaching profession and use IT as a natural tool in your work.
