Culture School in Bräcke Municipality is Hiring Music Teachers for the 2026–2027 School Year

The Culture School in Bräcke Municipality is seeking reinforcements for its music teaching team during the 2026–2027 school year. The work team distributes duties between voluntary culture school, project activities, and music education at the middle and upper secondary levels. The Culture School works mainly during daytime in Bräcke, Gällö, and Kälarne, and almost half of all students in grades 4–9 participate in the regular activities. Everyone in the work team teaches multiple instruments and at two locations, and we have students in all instrument groups except brass. We distribute locations, students, and project activities within the work team at the beginning of each school year. The teaching is generally fee-free.

Job Responsibilities

Music education and project activities in the culture school and/or primary school. Approximately 1.5 positions in total, depending on the number of students in the autumn and your competency profile. We are advertising these substitute positions now due to longer absences within the work team as well as temporary project funds. This means that parts of the positions may be posted for part of the school year, or during school holidays as needed and agreed upon, since project activities do not necessarily follow the school year. Overall, it is flexible, so even you who do not want a school-year employment are welcome to apply! If we do not receive applications that match the needs, we will prioritize regular teaching in the culture school and primary school.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for trained and certified music teachers who can also teach in primary school, but if you have experience in instrument teaching, you are welcome to apply. Please state which instruments you are comfortable with and what teaching experience you have for each instrument. During the school year, we plan to work with open activities outside of school hours, and you need to have experience working independently with student groups. Other cultural forms may also become relevant here, so please mention any other cultural competencies you have. Personal suitability and competencies that complement the work team will be decisive.

A Class B driver's license is required, and having your own car will most likely be necessary. Since the activities are conducted within the framework of the Education Act, we follow the Education Act's requirements for an extract from the criminal record. Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
