Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary schools, adapted upper secondary schools, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature- and mountain-oriented environments spread across six municipalities: Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Torsta is located in Ås, approximately one mile west of Östersund. Torsta is one of our nature-based vocational high schools, where practice and theory alternate with nature and the farm serving as classrooms. To train the farmers and foresters of the future, we use both traditional and high-tech equipment. Some of what is produced on the farm is used in our popular farm restaurant.
