Job Description

Here you will have the opportunity to work at two small, present-focused schools where relationships, participation, and the student's best interests are at the center. Linneryd School has just over 70 students, and Örmo School in Konga has approximately 40 students, creating a safe and familiar environment with great opportunities to make a real difference.

The position is 85% and is distributed between the schools, approximately 50% in Linneryd and 35% in Konga. The work is planned so that you have full days at each school, providing good conditions for structure, continuity, and presence without needing to move between assignments during the day.

You will become part of a well-functioning student health service where collaboration and shared responsibility are central. We work together to develop our schools with a focus on giving students the best possible conditions for success.

As a special needs educator (specialpedagog) in Linneryd and Konga, you are directly employed by the principal and are part of the schools' student health work. The student health team consists of a special needs educator, special teacher, school counselors, school nurses, the principal, as well as teachers and other school resources.

You also collaborate with the municipality's central student health service, which includes special needs educators for preschool, speech therapists, and psychologists.

In close collaboration with your colleagues in child and student health, principals, and other school staff, you actively contribute to developing the pedagogical work. Together, we work to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment that gives all students the best possible conditions to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

In the role of special needs educator, you are a central part of the schools' pedagogical development work and student health service. You work in a promoting, preventive, and remedial capacity in close collaboration with colleagues and school leadership.

The assignment includes among other things:

  • Take an active role in collegial learning at the school
  • Coach and mentor colleagues in pedagogical matters
  • Be a qualified conversation partner in both the pedagogical work and the overall student health service
  • Function as an organizational resource for school leadership
  • Investigate causal relationships between difficulties and learning environments; map, identify, and analyze factors affecting children's/student's knowledge development and contribute with interventions at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

In collaboration with school leadership and other student health services, you analyze local development areas and contribute to systematic quality work. School development is carried out based on identified needs, with a focus on creating good conditions for all students' learning and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a fearless, flexible, solution-focused, positive, and well-organized person. It is required that you have a very good ability to create mandate and to create and maintain good relationships with both students and adults.

We are looking for you who have a degree in special needs education or other relevant education, as well as experience from teaching and/or previous special needs educational assignments within primary or upper secondary school. You have a positive attitude towards change work and school development, which also permeates your way of working. You also possess the ability to work both in teams and independently.
