Emmaboda Municipality is in an exciting development phase where the modern small town is being built. The municipality is a hub in the heart of southeastern Sweden, with proximity to both beautiful nature and the cities of Kalmar, Karlskrona, and Växjö. Vilhelm Mobergsgymnasiet offers our students the Business Programme, Industrial Technology Programme, Introduction Programme, Natural Science Programme, Technology Programme, and Health and Care Programme. We also have close cooperation with local businesses. In the autumn of 2027, we will move to newly renovated premises. Approximately 180 students are currently enrolled with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities will consist of typical special needs teacher/special pedagogical tasks such as assessments, formulating action plans, supporting students special pedagogically in small groups but also in the classroom, coaching conversations, supporting and supervising teachers/teams regarding general and specific dilemmas, leading the school's student health team, organizational planning, motivating and supporting students, providing structural support, and much more. You should be prepared to support students in several different subjects.
Your main task will be, together with another special needs teacher, to conduct teaching both on the Introduction Programme (IM) and in our Studio, depending on where the need exists.
You will also be part of the school's development of structures that promote students' health, motivation, and learning. You are also an important part of the school's and the student health team's development work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a special needs teacher degree and have broad experience and competence in learning and teaching at the upper secondary level. You should have a solid interest in working with inclusive learning environments and want to work for a learning environment that meets different needs among students. You are well versed in students' many different needs and what is required to meet these well within the framework of the upper secondary school's conditions. You have the ability to motivate and find new paths/solutions to help students reach their goals.
You meet the students with curiosity and interest, have good patience, and show a good understanding of everyone's different prerequisites with the aim of students reaching their goals.
As a colleague, you are proactive, action-oriented, independent, and flexible, but also receptive and analytical. You are secure in your professional role, skilled at creating good relationships and collaborating with students, guardians, teachers, and other staff. Your formal competence is that of a special needs teacher, preferably with experience from upper secondary school. You are well acquainted with the upper secondary school's steering documents and current research in the field.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
