About the operations
Elias Fries is a school for grades F-6 built in 1995, consisting of seven small houses arranged along a building street. The school has approximately 270 students and is located in a residential area with mixed housing, as well as proximity to forests, nature, and good bus connections. The fine surroundings are often used in teaching, and each house has the opportunity to work with garden plots.
At Elias Fries, we work based on the vision Learning and Development in a School for All, where safety, participation, and an inclusive learning environment are central values in the entire operation.
Responsibilities
For the school year 2026/2027, we are looking for a driven, solution-oriented, and responsible teacher for the after-school center (fritidshem) who is passionate about creating good care and an stimulating learning environment for the students. You work to ensure that students feel joy, safety, and participation in the activities, based on the premise that all students have different needs, prerequisites, and ways of learning.
The assignment includes working with student influence, analyzing students' needs, and using adapted methodologies for both individuals and groups. You collaborate closely with the school and preschool class and are part of a work team where you together plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching based on current regulatory documents.
As a teacher, you are a clear and structured leader with high expectations for the students. You actively collaborate with colleagues, guardians, the student health team, and school management. The position offers good opportunities to influence and develop the after-school center's activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are engaged and relationship-building, with a low-affective approach and good knowledge of the regulatory documents for the after-school center and school. You thrive in collaboration and see the strength in working together towards common goals.
We see that you have:
- A teacher's degree with a focus on after-school centers, or ongoing education
- Preferably qualifications in a practical-aesthetic subject
- Good relational skills and an inclusive approach
- Ability to work in a structured, proactive, and solution-oriented manner
Previous experience is not a requirement, so even you who are newly graduated are warmly welcome to apply. The position is a temporary assignment lasting until 2026-12-31 with the possibility of extension.
