Special Education Teacher with Focus on Intellectual Disability at Bjurbäcksskolan in Emmaboda

Bjurbäcksskolan is a lower secondary school located in central Emmaboda, where safety, participation, and development are in focus. The school offers both regular primary school and adapted primary school education. The regular school has over 300 students distributed across 4 to 6 parallel classes, while the adapted primary school is a smaller operation with close collaboration.

Approximately 40 teachers work together with other staff at the school to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed based on their own prerequisites. We actively work on building relationships, safety, and development to create a positive school day for both students and employees.

Emmaboda Municipality is in an exciting development phase where the modern small town is being built. The municipality is a hub in the heart of southeastern Sweden, close to both beautiful nature and the cities of Kalmar, Karlskrona, and Växjö. The overarching and common goal is to continuously develop so that the municipality is attractive to live, work, and thrive in, as well as being an attractive employer.
