Lilla Kunskapsskolan Västerås is looking for a certified teacher in Crafts (Slöjd) for grades 2-6

For the school year 2026/2027, we are opening the doors to a new school in Västerås, Lilla Kunskapsskolan Västerås. The school will start with grades F-4, and the ambition is to grow into a fully developed school with 408 students distributed across grades F-6. Do you want to be part of building our new operation? To ensure that every student reaches as far as possible, we need skilled teachers with a strong commitment to the student. At Kunskapsskolan, we always put the individual at the center, and therefore we are looking for you who always work actively to ensure your students succeed. In addition to being a subject teacher, you are also a personal advisor to a group of about twenty students, and you have an individual advisory meeting with each of your students every week. You help them plan and set goals for their studies and follow up on these goals together with both the students and their guardians.

At Kunskapsskolan, we have a strong emphasis on teamwork. You are never alone with challenges and questions. We help each other plan work in working groups and subject groups. There is great openness among teachers, and we share a common responsibility for our students.

To facilitate your work and enable you to focus your time on the students, we have collected a large part of our teaching materials on our digital portal, Kunskapsporten. For each subject, there are suggestions for working methods, tasks, and teaching materials.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in Crafts (Slöjd) for grades 2-6. You should be well-versed in LGR-22 (the Swedish curriculum for compulsory school) and formative assessment.

Desirable qualifications

We would appreciate it if you had a few years of experience in teaching and advising or mentoring. We want you to be easy to collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians, and to be solution-focused.

We place great value on your commitment, your pedagogical competence, and your advising skills. We want you to be a stable and secure person who can build trust with the students.

Employment terms

The position is a permanent position at 60%.
