About Ljungnässkolan

Ljungnässkolan is a preschool to year 6 school with approximately 320 students. Approximately 50 employees work at the school. The school has teachers, lead teachers, special needs educators/special teachers, a school counselor, and a school nurse. The school has two parallel streams for preschool to year 6 as well as after-school center departments and is undergoing exciting change work. The school and the after-school center collaborate regarding both students and premises. Our working method provides security and continuity for our students and good cohesion in the staff groups.

Ljungnässkolan is a VI-school. This means that we receive students from the teacher education programs for preschool to year 3, year 4 to 6, and after-school center teachers from Linnaeus University in Kalmar.

Responsibilities

At Ljungnässkolan, we work in work teams, and you will work with different teacher categories. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and developing the pedagogical work for the students in the after-school center and at school.

The collaboration between the school, the after-school center, and guardians is important to us. Our task is to look after the students' needs together and work based on them. As a teacher in the after-school center, you work with children of different ages, from 6-year-olds who are meeting the school world for the first time to 12-year-olds who are on their way into high school age.

The position may also involve some work at Mölstadsskolan, as both schools are planned to eventually become a joint preschool to year 6 school.

Qualifications

• You are a licensed teacher with a focus on after-school centers, or alternatively a recreation pedagogue, preferably with a focus on music, art, home economics and consumer studies, or physical education and health.
• You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the goals of the curriculum into your work.
• You are a present and co-researching pedagogue who challenges and stimulates students to develop.
• You easily create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• You have a strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development.
• You see the importance of everyone in the work team becoming involved and that you work as a team. In order to develop learning among students, you reflect together with your colleagues on your and the work team's pedagogical approach.
• You are a secure and flexible leader with previous experience of responsibility in after-school centers.
• You have a genuine interest in creating a secure environment and have a holistic view of learning during the school day as well as after-school center hours.
