Your Role

As a teacher, you work together with special needs teachers and teaching colleagues to develop the pedagogical operations of the adapted primary school.

You teach according to the adapted primary school's curriculum and syllabus, and have standard teaching duties within the adapted primary school focusing on subject areas. This means you plan, execute, and document the students' development.

The position includes mentorship for students.

You lead the pedagogical work and guide resource pedagogues regarding the goals you are working towards and the progression in these goals.

You collaborate closely with the after-school center to enable a holistic view of the student's learning process throughout the day.

You conduct modern and creative teaching and find strategies to reach every student and strengthen them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

Who We Are Looking For

You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents. You use your creativity and can adapt your approach, pedagogical methods, and techniques based on the students' needs.

You conduct fun, inspiring, and challenging teaching where AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is always a natural part of the entire day.

You have good ability to collaborate with colleagues so that students get a safe and calm school day with good conditions for learning, and you share knowledge, experience, and information with the aim of developing the operation.

You have a good manner of dealing with people and the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You earn the students' trust while being a clear and firm adult.

You have good knowledge of students with intellectual disabilities and NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders). You work calmly and systematically with low-affective handling and have a positive and inclusive approach.

You are computer literate and have experience using digital tools in your teaching, preferably with experience of Smartboard.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, good collaboration skills with students and colleagues, and previous experience in similar operations – which is verified through reference checks.
