Peder Skrivare Upper Secondary School (PS) offers several national upper secondary programs that can be combined with developmental education in sports, Young Enterprise, Technology College, or Care and Welfare College. Knowledge, Creativity, and Diversity are important concepts for us and shape our perspective. RESPONSIBILITIES
Peder Skrivare School is looking for a vocational teacher at 50-100% for the Industrial Technology program. Perfect if you wish to gain experience working as a teacher or want to combine your current profession with working as a teacher. The employment level depends on needs and mutual dialogue regarding the assignment.
The responsibilities include teaching vocational technical subjects, such as welding technology, industrial production, and operational safety. You plan your teaching independently and collaborate with other teachers in the program. You clarify the goals of the teaching and communicate them in an understandable way to the students while assessing their goal achievement.
Through collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating a positive school environment where students thrive, develop, and reach their goals. You actively participate in various collegial contexts where you both share and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic skills. To thrive in the role, it is important that you actively participate in the subject group's work and appreciate collaborating with colleagues, students, and other staff at the upper secondary school. Together, you work to create the best conditions for each student's success.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are professionally skilled in the workshop technical area with experience from the workshop industry. You need to have basic knowledge in workshop technology, welding technology, and be experienced in operational safety. Meritorious is good knowledge in machining. If you have teacher certification and subject eligibility, this is meritorious. The most important thing for us is that you have the right competence and the personal qualities required to succeed in the role of a teacher. It is also meritorious to have worked with young people in some form. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
You are expected to use digital tools naturally in your teaching and planning and see them as a natural part of your pedagogical work. You are motivated by supporting others' learning and create good conditions for knowledge to develop. With your pedagogical skill, you explain content and contexts clearly, adapted to different individuals and perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement in the classroom. You are a team player who likes to collaborate to achieve common goals. You thrive in teamwork and see the value in working together for the students' best interests. Your engagement and ability to build good relationships contribute to a positive and respectful work environment. You inspire and capture interest in the subject through clear and engaged communication.
Flexibility is one of your strengths. You adapt quickly to changed conditions and have a structured, goal-oriented way of working. At the same time, you are open to trying new methods and ways of working. You have a good ability to listen and show respect for others' perspectives, which creates security and cohesion in the work group.
