Peder Skrivare Upper Secondary School (PS) offers several national upper secondary programs that can be combined with developmental education in sports, Young Enterprise, Technology College, or Care and Welfare College. We are looking for an engaged teacher for the Electrical and Energy program. The role of a teacher with us means that you, together with your colleagues, plan and conduct teaching in the electrical and energy program, both theoretically and practically.

A prerequisite is that you enjoy working with young people. You clarify the goals of the teaching and communicate them in an understandable way to the students while simultaneously assessing their goal achievement and assigning grades according to the curriculum. As a mentor, you have an important role in supporting students by having good knowledge of their needs, following their studies, and actively working to ensure they achieve their upper secondary diploma. You build strong relationships with students and have regular contact with guardians to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Through collaboration with school leadership and colleagues, you contribute to creating a positive school environment where students thrive, develop, and reach their goals. You actively participate in various collegial contexts where you both share and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic skills. To thrive in the role, it is important that you actively participate in the subject group's work and appreciate collaborating with colleagues, students, and other staff at the upper secondary school. Together, you work to create the best conditions for each student's success.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who currently work as a vocational teacher or work in the industry as an installation electrician or industrial electrician. If you have teacher certification and subject competence, it is meritorious but not a requirement. The most important thing for us is that you have the right professional competence and the personal qualities required to succeed in the role of a teacher. Experience in working with young people in some form is also meritorious. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
