Your responsibilities

As a special needs teacher at Visible Education, you are a central figure in guiding students toward their goals. You have overall responsibility for the special needs work within the organization, with the aim that every student succeeds in their studies. You actively map and follow up on students who require additional adjustments, ensuring they have the right prerequisites and that these adjustments are implemented. You carry out targeted interventions for students in need. Many of our students have Swedish as a second language, and providing language support is part of these targeted interventions. Another targeted intervention is following students during their workplace learning (APL).

As a special needs teacher, you act as the contact person for our principal, Kungsbacka Municipality, regarding special needs issues, receive pedagogical handovers, and participate in student follow-ups.

You work closely with the school leadership regarding school development. As a special needs teacher here, you support the educators and provide guidance to individual teachers or work teams. You lead competence development for teachers and other staff.

Your profile

• You are a certified teacher with at least basic school qualifications.
• You hold a degree in special needs education.
• Experience from working within adult education is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the reading and writing acquisition process as well as language-developing methods is an advantage.
• You have digital competence, and computers/apps are natural working tools.
• You are accustomed to and enjoy independently structuring and prioritizing your tasks, while also having good collaboration skills and a willingness to work with colleagues.
• We are looking for someone who wants to work both strategically and preventively, as well as operationally directly with the student in learning situations.
• You have experience in organizing and leading collegial learning.
• You have good knowledge of the chain of command and enjoy working based on established routines and guidelines.
• You are entrepreneurial, see opportunities, and dare to try new things.

The employment

The position is a permanent full-time (100%) employment with a six-month probation period. Start date is in August or as agreed. Working hours are during the day. Evening hours may occur on occasional occasions. We apply the collective agreement between Almega Tjänsteföretagen and Sveriges Lärare.
