RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a key role in preparing our students for a professional life as maintenance technicians and automation technicians. The position is a full-time employment (100%) where you are responsible for planning, conducting, and examining courses in accordance with established education plans and the requirements for legal certainty in the YH regulation.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Teaching and Supervision: You lead lessons and laboratories in areas such as maintenance, PLC, and automation.
• Pedagogical Support: You provide individual guidance to students, support them in their studies, and act as a supervisor for thesis projects.
• Quality Work: You actively participate in developing our laboratory environments and ensure that teaching maintains high industry relevance.
• Collaboration: You act as a link between academia and the working life, including contact with LIA placements (Learning in the Workplace).

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, a balance between deep professional expertise and a pedagogical drive is required. Since we train for the needs of working life, we place great emphasis on your current industry relevance. We do not have a certification requirement.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Current Professional Competence: At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience from the industry within the last 10 years (e.g., as a maintenance technician, automation technician, or CNC technician).
• Specialist Knowledge: Documented knowledge in automation and maintenance.
• Pedagogical Ability: Experience and interest in guiding, coaching, or teaching adults in an engaging and clear manner.
• Digital Competence: Ability to handle digital learning platforms and collaboration tools.
• Communication Skills: You are good at conveying requirements and expectations and thrive in a team environment.

It is an advantage if you have an established professional network within the industry in Halland.
