Your responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher at Furulundsskolan to teach Mathematics/Science (MA/NO) and Technology for grades 4–6.

As a teacher, you will help develop the school's pedagogical activities. You are a clear and structured leader in the classroom with strong pedagogical skills. You have high expectations for students and can motivate them to achieve good results by clarifying goals and knowledge requirements. You adapt your teaching to the students and maintain a formative approach. Your pedagogical role often requires ingenuity, creativity, and flexibility, and you use strategies to promote student motivation, participation, and influence.

You collaborate easily and see the work team as an asset. Together with the team, you plan, implement, evaluate, and develop teaching based on the school's governing documents and goals. The role also requires collaboration with other colleagues at the school. As a teacher, you must have the ability to analyze student needs and use well-adapted methodologies.

Certified teacher with eligibility to teach Mathematics/Science/Technology in grades 4–6.

Furulundsskolan is a K–9 school with approximately 700 students, located in the eastern/central parts of Halmstad. In our intermediate school (grades 4–6), you will meet a stable and experienced teaching group where many colleagues have worked for a long time. We have been a training school for many years, which has contributed to a reflective teaching culture and a habit of developing our practice together.

At our school, the student is at the center. We plan, implement, and follow up on teaching together and work actively to ensure the quality of teaching so that all students are given good conditions to reach as far as possible in their development and learning. Language-developing approaches are a natural part of teaching in all subjects.

We view the school day from a holistic perspective and take joint responsibility for student safety, study environment, and learning – both in and outside the classroom. The student health team works closely with the work teams and is a natural part of the preventive and promoting work.
