Vallaskolan is hiring Leisure Home Teachers

Vallaskolan is an F-9 school located in Frösön, Östersund, with approximately 573 students. The school is beautifully situated in Frösön with a magnificent view of the mountain world. Vallaskolan's goal is for every student to achieve their learning objectives, feel safe, and thrive. We have a lovely outdoor environment near Storsjö with large nature-based play areas and a football field. During winter, there are skiing activities and an ice rink right outside the door.

We are now looking for 5 Leisure Home Teachers for permanent positions, 100%.

At Vallaskolan's leisure home, we systematically work towards the curriculum goals through our goal flower. The goal flower makes our activities at Vallaskolan visible and concrete. The content of the goal flower permeates our operations at the leisure home.

Common tasks

Together with other leisure teachers, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on activities in the leisure home based on the curriculum goals. During school hours, you collaborate with classroom teachers and support individual students and the class. As a leisure home teacher, you make a significant difference for the student. You are present throughout the day and gain a comprehensive view of how the student and class function during school and leisure time. This gives you, as an educator, fantastic opportunities to analyze the needs of the student and class to then create activities that strengthen both. You will conduct break activities, creative activities, movement, play, and social community. Our leisure home teachers have good conditions to carry out their tasks through planning time and supervision.

If you are qualified to teach a subject, teaching in that subject may be included in your duties.

Your qualifications

Requirements

• Certified leisure educator/class teacher in leisure home.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills.

Meritorious

• You have good knowledge of the leisure home's governing documents and can implement these in daily work.
• Experience working with students with NPF.
• Education in sports and health.
