Sörgårdsskolan in Brunflo is located about 20 kilometers outside Östersund, beautifully situated with sports facilities, swimming pools, and fine forest areas nearby. The school currently has about 115 students in age-homogeneous classes in grades F-3.

We are now looking for a full-time Leisure Teacher for a fixed-term position for the entire school year 26/27.

Your new job

As a leisure teacher at Sörgårdsskolan, you will conduct teaching in the leisure center together with other educators and participate as a resource in schoolwork in one or more classes. You will work in the school's working team where you, together with colleagues, conduct activities that follow set goals.

The leisure center has two departments.

At the leisure center, we conduct our main systematic quality work and professional development primarily on joint planning days and work evenings. In addition, we have shared leisure planning time as well as individual planning.

Both the school and the leisure center are active in the value foundation concept PAX, which aims to create calm, security, joy, and study peace. We constantly work to develop learning for students and staff in the leisure center through planned free play and guided activities to achieve goals and central content in the curriculum.

Great emphasis is placed on developing students' social skills so that they can take responsibility for themselves and others.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with qualifications for leisure centers, but we are also happy to accept unqualified staff with equivalent education and experience.

You have good knowledge of the leisure center's governing documents and can implement these in daily work.

You have good computer skills.

You have good Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious

• Previous work experience.
• Experience working with digital systems aimed at schools and leisure centers.
• You have experience working with students with NPF or students in adapted primary school as collaboration and cooperation with the school's other activities occur regularly.
