Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

Duved School is a F-9 school with approximately 570 students. In our after-school program, we have about 170 students divided into two departments: grades F-1 and grades 2-5. The after-school program has its own facilities that do not need to be shared with the school's activities. It is close to nature, and we have a large hilly schoolyard.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a teacher in the after-school program, you will work with the team to ensure the quality of the pedagogical work and participate in development work together with other teachers and after-school leaders. The teaching in the after-school program should stimulate students' development and learning and offer students a meaningful leisure time. This should be done by basing the teaching on the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by continuously challenging the students further by inspiring them to new discoveries. In the teaching, students should be offered a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments that integrate care and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in the after-school program. If you also have subject qualifications, we see it as a great advantage.

Handle stress constructively, maintain a good mood under pressure and setbacks. Have an easy time understanding others' situations, listen, understand, and show consideration. The position is vacant provided that there is no redundancy, need for relocation, or priority in the municipality. A probationary period may apply.
