To meet the needs of the fire service, we are now looking for two employees who primarily work with internal training of our part-time firefighters (RiB). In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and developing training initiatives that enhance competence, safety, and quality in our operational activities. You will also contribute to the quality assurance of training materials and provide support to colleagues within the unit regarding methodology, structure, and implementation of training. External training may occur as part of the assignment.
Internal training is a strategically important area for our fire service and has significant implications for both quality, safety, and development in the organization. Through structured and operationally relevant training, our part-time firefighters (RiB) are strengthened in their roles, contributing to safer interventions, better collaboration, and increased professionalism throughout the organization.
About the job
You will work in a stimulating environment with varied tasks, where you will have the opportunity to work practically with training activities as an instructor. As a natural part of your role, professional development will be central, and you will also have the opportunity to further develop within the fire service.
In the role of instructor, you will work at our training ground to plan, implement, and develop training within the fire service's area of responsibility. The focus will be on internal training of our part-time firefighters (RiB), where you will be responsible for basic training, continuing education, and exercise activities related to operational activities. You will also be involved in exercises and training for our full-time firefighters, providing a broad contact with the organization.
In addition to RiB training, we also conduct Grib training and some external training for companies, organizations, and partners. As an instructor, you will contribute both practically and pedagogically to ensure quality, safety, and development in our training programs. The assignment also includes work with the maintenance and development of the training area, restoration and management of equipment, as well as preparations for upcoming training and exercises.
About us
Jämtlands Räddningstjänstförbund is responsible for fire and prevention services according to the Fire Protection Act in all eight municipalities in Jämtland County. We have 35 fire stations and 9 rescue posts, and most of our approximately 600 employees are firefighters on standby duty. Our full-time staff is primarily at the fire station in Östersund, but also at our training area Furulund, which will be your main workplace.

About you

The role involves significant personal responsibility and requires confidence in working towards set goals. Since the work involves conducting training and leading exercises, you should also feel comfortable speaking in front of groups and conveying knowledge in a pedagogical manner.
Qualifications

Additionally, you have:
- Completed Grib and/or SMO or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Driving license category B
- Good basic IT skills
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Meritorious
- Experience in practical and theoretical teaching or leading training in front of a group.
- Instructor training related to fire service, such as CPR.
- Driving license category C

Employment conditions
Salary and start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply for the first 6 months.
