The Jämtland Gymnasium Federation is responsible for high school education, adapted high school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Wången is located in Alsen, about 20 kilometers west of Krokom. At Wången, we love horses and offer horse-related experiences for everyone. We educate talented and elite-focused individuals in equestrian sports at various levels. Wången is one of the National Facilities for the Horse Industry, and together we have a shared mission to provide the horse industry with the right knowledge and skills for the continued development of the sector.

Description

We are looking for a licensed and qualified teacher in mathematics and natural science for the Natural Resource Program with a focus on horse management at Jämtlands Gymnasium Wången.

The position is at least 35% and can, depending on your skills and experience, be expanded through a combination with other tasks within the organization. The position is a permanent employment, provided that you have the right qualifications. You will be employed by the Jämtland Gymnasium Federation, which is the principal for high school education at Wången.

Start date is August 11, 2026.

Your Future Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will become part of the team at Wången and actively participate in collegial learning and joint development work. You will be part of a teaching team together with the program's vocational teachers and are expected to co-plan the teaching with your colleagues.

We conduct school development work with a focus on a relational approach, where accessible and differentiated teaching is at the center.

In the role of high school teacher in mathematics and natural science, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and assessment of teaching in both subjects. The work involves both independent responsibility for your courses and close collaboration with colleagues and students in the planning and development of teaching.

You have a student-focused approach and actively work to create good conditions for students' learning and academic results. We would like you to be curious about trying different working methods and pedagogical approaches to meet students' diverse needs and support them in succeeding in their studies.
