Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

Mörsil School operates from preschool class to grade 9, as well as adapted primary school and after-school care. In the upper grades, Mörsil School receives students from other schools in the municipality, and the school currently has about 320 students. Mörsil School is now looking for two substitute student resources for the school year 26/27.

The adapted primary school in Mörsil is growing, and more and more students are finding their way here. This means that you will be part of a development journey. You will be part of an engaged and professional team with teachers, other student resources, and special educators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a student resource in the adapted primary school. Currently, there are substitutes available as one student resource will be on parental leave and another will be studying throughout the upcoming school year.

As a student resource, your main task will be to support students in both their academic and social development. You will work closely with the students to create conditions for their learning, remove obstacles in teaching, and create a good learning environment. You will support the students in their care needs, and some medication may be included in your duties.

You will be part of a team that is engaged and professional and has experience in meeting the current student group. Collaboration and well-being are important factors for the team, and you contribute to a positive working environment for both colleagues and students.

You are expected to collaborate with colleagues in the responsibility for the students throughout the school day, which includes lessons, breaks, lunch, transitions, and possible after-school time. Close cooperation with colleagues, guardians, and our student health team is required, which is crucial to ensure that students receive the right support.

Your task is to create conditions for the student to achieve optimal growth and learning, where key words are inclusion, development, collaboration, and accessibility.

Expectations are that you have a low-arousal approach and a relational view of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has experience working with students in need of special support. Previous experience working with neuropsychiatric variations is an advantage.

You have knowledge of the curriculum, Lgra 22, its content, and feel that you can contribute to operational development together with colleagues in a collegial learning environment.

We believe that you have a very good ability to work both goal-oriented and solution-focused based on applicable governing documents, and that the best interest of the student is always your focus.

As a person, you should be easy to collaborate with and contribute to a positive work climate and an effective work group. You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

As a person, you should have a very good ability to create good relationships and engage and motivate students. You need to be flexible, creative, and have a great professional patience. You have a stable and secure personality, which is important for creating a trusting and safe environment for the students.

The position is vacant provided that there is no redundancy, need for reassignment, or priority in the municipality. A probationary period may be applied.
